Working with our military on a daily basis, I'm constantly reminded of their sacrifice to protect our liberty. Sadly, many of these men and women come home from deployment to endure physical, financial and mental challenges as they adjust to home life. It's really disheartening to read reports that 22 veterans a day commit suicide because of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). There is cause for hope as many organizations are joining hands to find lasting treatment. The Courage Foundation is one of the groups offering innovative programs that are making a difference in the lives of veterans suffering from PTS.
As a personal reminder of our veterans' fight towards recovery, I'm doing my small part by helping raise funds. I'm pledging $22 a month and doing 22 burpees a day this coming year (which you don't have to do). I'll be keeping you posted on my year- long progress towards my $8,000 plus goal. If you would like to join me and make a pledge in support of our veterans, I would be proud to have you on my team.
Please help me raise money by sponsoring my fundraising and personal commitment for this important cause.
